Job Title: Citrix and VMWare Administrator
Location: Toronto, ON
Type: Contract 12 months (with the potential of being renewed for a
further 1 months)
Hours of work: Mon to Fri 8 hrs day or 40 hours per week
Reports to: Project Mgr and Delivery Mgr
Citrix and VMware System Administrator
This role requires extensive experience within VMWARE, SAN and CITRX
infrastructure and an in depth knowledge and experience within these
types of infrastructures and the tools used to manage them.
This will include evaluating the existing infrastructure and proposing
service improvements. Reviewing existing infrastructure and providing
redundancy where needed.
Skills Required:
-Education: Relevant Post secondary education and certifications
-Superior English language communications skills both written and
verbal
-Minimum of 5, preferably 7 years of previous, recent and related
experience in Citrix & VMWare systems Administration
-Outstanding customer service orientation
-Mature, knowledgeable and professional
Skills: Citrix, Zen App, SAN, VMware vSphere server clusters and
tools, SAN including switches, Active Directory, Windows Server 2008
Role:
-Provide system administration, operations, and application support
for services supported by this task and become responsible for the
operations phase of the service lifecycle.
-Assist with the implementation and decommissioning phases of systems
and hardware service life used in support of the Centers Central
Services systems.
-As new product categories, technologies or tools are identified; this
VMware Administrator will assist the task with investigating their
potential usefulness to improve the service offerings, operation
efficiencies, security, or costs of services supported by this task.
-Build VMware vSphere servers and clusters
-Build ZenApp servers and clusters
-Experience with capacity planning and monitoring within VMware
-Experience building and managing MS Windows Servers
-Experience with SANs
-Experience with Vsphere
