One of our clients in the Digital Media space is currently seeking a full
time intermediate QA Analyst.<br>
<br>
Role and Responsibilities
* This position involves testing of an HTML5 and Windows 8 application for
their business services.
*
Responsibilities and expectations:
*
Represent QA and testing in all aspects of the Agile Scrum development
process including Sprint Planning and daily Scrum meetings
*
Create and execute test plans and test cases (manual and automated) for
user stories, including risk based regression testing
*
Create and deploy test builds to devices
*
Log defects and work closely with developers to investigate, troubleshoot
and verify defect fixes
*
Demonstrate creativity in identifying bugs with negative and corner case
test cases
*
Escalate quality issues quickly and effectively
*
Take initiative to recommend and implement quality process improvements
*
Assist the Customer Care group in resolving third line support issues
Qualifications and Experience
* Computer Science or Computer Engineering Degree (or equivalent
experience)
*
5+ years work experience in Software Quality Assurance
*
A good understanding of Agile development process (Scrum methodology)
*
Experience developing and executing test cases
*
Demonstrated superior troubleshooting skills
*
Extremely detail oriented and organized, able to provide clear and accurate
status updates
*
Familiarity with current market trends on Tablet, eReaders, operating
systems and smart phones
*
Highly technical and able to communicate well with developers and other
team members
*
Able to work effectively in a fast paced, agile environment
*
Must be energetic and enthusiastic, with a passion for Software Quality
* Experience testing HTML5/Web Application within browsers, cross-browser
testing and AJAX request/response testing
*
Familiarity with Mobile Platforms such as: BlackBerry, iPhone, Android,
iOS, Windows Mobile, J2ME, etc, including installation and upgrade testing
*
Familiarity with web technologies and debugging tools
*
Experienced developing automated tests with tools such as Selenium,
HTTPUnit or Jasmine
*
Familiarity with the Sproutcore application development framework highly
desirable
*
Experience with JS/HTML5/CSS would be an asset
